Hello,
New to the forum but not to vw’s. Started out with a ’71 beetle when I was 18, had that for about 10 years, then bought a ’67 split which I had for about 7 years up until last Thursday when I waved goodbye to it to make way for this.....................

Hi Adam, I'm new to the forums too. The square back is looking really well! My dad used to have a few of those down through the years so I have fond memories of them. I remember once he got it up to 100mph for a few seconds with all us kids in it. It was no problem to her, she was a beauty just like yours!

Thanks for the comments
Had Mot done the other day and passed with flying colours
Picked these up at Brighton breeze from previous owner. NOS pair of Hagus extendable mirrors. You remove the existing mirrors and fit these if you ever tow a caravan. Also some suction on yellow covers for european driving.
Also managed to get an early 1960’s Blaupunkt Essen Type 3 radio. Unfortunately it didn’t come with the vinyl sleeve or mounting bracket but a guy on the ssvc site had just bought one for his bus so sent him a message and bagged myself both the bracket and the sleeve.
And here it is fitted......
Got a few small jobs to do on it over winter, mainly engine service and tune up (may take it out and give it a good clean)
Then ready for next years shows, hopefully be doing ninove in March to start the year.
