Dutch 412 Variant, in VW Ultra!!
Re: Dutch 412 Variant
To take the caravan to the meetings I mounted High-Jackers (load-adjusters), to trim the rear suspension.
Once mounted, I took my trailer for a testdrive, and it felt much better than the worn shockers.
Trailer for a testdrive. Looks like a trailer-king instead of a trailer-queen
Lisette with the 412
And me
This is where we can adjust the rear suspension, next to the oil filler cap
And just a nice shot...

Re: Dutch 412 Variant
So the adjustment to the rear shocks is pneumatic, did it take much modification to make them fit?

Re: Dutch 412 Variant
Indeed, it is pneumatic. And it took some cutting and welding to put the new shocks in place

Some very strong primary colours there
Whereabouts at Spa was this photo taken - I don't recognise the location unless it's down near the karting circuit at Stavelot ??
....... and it isn't raining

This is a superb project page, just found it and went through from page one.
Thanks for putting this all on here, it's so nice to see other people doing projects, especially to such a high standard!
Looking forward to updates (and what you buy next of course!)

Re: Dutch 412 Variant, in VW Ultra!!
Hi folks, I am back... I know it has been a while, I'm sorry for that. I have some updates regarding the engine.
It turned out that the old lifters couldn't handle the new cam, so last summer I decided to open up the 1795cc....
long story short: I am building a 2.4 type 4 now....

Re: Dutch 412 Variant, in VW Ultra!!
Sounds interesting - I have a T25 engine to rebuild and was thinking about the AA barrell / piston, but then thought it might be a bit ridiculous, especially on fuel. I'm keen to hear more
