Hello,
I dont post much on here but thought Id start a resto thread...
At work, we are restoring a 1969 Fastback at the moment in our spare time and thought I'd share a few pics.
When it was last on the road it looked like this:
We bought it needing resto work... we started by stripping it down and getting the body off the floor to have a proper look.
It needs the channels sorting and a couple of patches on the floor but overall its not too bad. Here are a few pics:
Started stripping the floor, box, suspension:
Started off cleaning the underseal off the front inner arches. Was initially looking at the front of the channels but found a bit more that needs sorting. The channel section not looking too great:
The passenger side box section behind the brake fluid reservoir wasnt looking too clever:
The inside:
Started cleaning it up, and drilling out the spot welds. It was a bit rotten at the bottom:
Got it off to find more rot:
Had a look at the front bumper hangers because they didnt look too great after I started to remove the underseal:
After stripping the underseal off, a previous repair to re-do:
Drivers side not as bad:
Lots more work than we originally thought.

'Twas ever so!
You look to be getting on well though. Handy having the garage equipment too.
