HELPERS LIST - Breakdown help, tea & sympathy, or whatever

Post by Editor » 21st October 2010 - 11:30pm

If you can offer help, post your post-code here (That'll keep it brief). Let's see what response there is. Google maps or a GPS will let others find you if they need to. When we have a good number, I'll collect it into a doc and link it here so you can download a quick printout.

Added later:- I've had one response concerned about the public nature of this list. Anyone like to PM or email me details and I'll put in a Word doc with password protection. I would have to supply the password somehow - is that more secure? Anyone got a better idea?

Doc so far is here and the password at the moment is our club name (11 characters).

It works here!
Dave.

po12, tea and a telephone and a few tools. Can possibly tow a car a short distance if not on the motorway.

When there's an official list drawn up I'll give my exact location and telephone number. Just not putting up in the open :)

I keep getting 'password incorrect' - can you post it exactly? I've tried quite a few variations! - I'm probably being thick?

It's the club name, 11 small letters, and you write out the 'and' with no spaces, and leave out the club bit.

I've emailed it to you Andy, just to make sure!

Anyone else wanting to send phone numbers etc for the password-protected doc at http://www.vwtype3and4club.org.uk/_docs ... ers+PW.doc , you can pm me or use my email if you have it.
Dave.

Ah - got it at last! (Paul - miss out the four letter word for society at the end!)
There are very few names on there anyway, sadly.

You can't change it, since you can't reload it in to the FTP site.

Thanks Jay. Added and loaded to website.

Compared with when we were a membership-based club, it's a pitifully short list.
