been awhile but finnally got my arse in gear and got something done.on with taking all the panels to bare metal to see how good they really are, so far they are pretty dam good having only one rear wing and boot and valance to do.
it looks bloody cool in bare steel, all so been throwing a few idea,s around with a mate of mine and i think we have come up with a few good custom touches that should make this build just that little bit different.
bit of a pain but i will also be down sizeing to a smaller garage over the next couple of mounths so trying to get a lot done between now and then.will get some pics on over the weekend.

Silver with red interior looks good - Keith in America has done a Squareback like that and it looks impressive.

Re: project 72 fastty
I think he must have gone past that stage, but not many were silver back then. Hmm - photos are dated sequentially - and there's a bit of primer left on the bonnet...
Dave.
Re: project 72 fastty
fantastic
Re: project 72 fastty
yep still a little to sand of but should get that done through the week. going to ecth prime it then put a light coat of colour base coat on to get an idea of how it could look.
the colour needs to be bright to show of the intended body trim that is going to be made, more on this later.

finnally got the acid etch primer, over the next few days get it all down to bare steel and then primed. because the car is going to be stored for a couple of mounths in a container while i find a smaller unit i want it well protected. pics as soon as its done.
just got the tickets for the volksworld show, see you there, cant wait.

Re: project 72 fastty
right then finnally got something done. got all the body down to bare steel and a coat of ecth primer followed by a thin coat of normal primer with a tint of colour init for effect. this is the first time its all been the same colour since i have owned it
right heres some pics.
what a difference a coat of paint makes, dont get me wrong theres still loads to do but its getting there.
