Found some at heritage bit it's not currently available, and they are not sure when it will be again.

Depends What Colour!
Try Bert3 on here or Mario at T3HQ via Facebook Who both have stashes of NOS
Failing that, if you can live with Black, ISP west sell it

I've not bought any yet, but I was looking at one of these suppliers -

There are "fender beading" sets available from a USA supplier - I think someone on here was saying they had got a set. The proper wing beading for the fronts is a combination of T-shaped profiles and round. The ribbed part is deeper than these samples - maybe 25mm. I don't know how price compares though.

KK & Coolair have always said they'd bring stuff in for members.. Just tell them you're Type 3 & 4 club. I haven't tried taking them up on the offer, but several people did a few years ago with tailgate seals

The big stumbling block that usually hits people is import Duties from HM Customs

I got mine from woolies-trim. It was exactly the same stuff as a friend brought from a well know aircooled vw supplier yet much much cheaper. Its comes in black or white.

Brilliant cheers guys!

Dave can you explain the layout of the half-round/round sections.
my car didn't have a complete section of beading when I bought it, missing a piece in both sides just infront of the bulkhead.......

The beading along the toip of the wing is T-section until it dips down alongside the bonnet, when it's round section until it comes out again by the headlights and reverts back to T-section.

On the rear, it is the T-section all the way, including the bit down by the door. There is an extra piece from the rear panel down that is wider section T. I don't know that is available anywhere, except presumably the proper "fender welting" kits from the USA. It's often intact, so you may be able to re-use it, but the top can crack off.

I believe the original T section is not symmetrical on the rear wings, so the original wing beading is left or right side. The original front wing beading is also different left and right, but that seems to just be the chamfer cut on the end by the screen. I doubt we can be quite that fussy these days.
Dave.
