Went to Machine Mart and bought a wire cup brush for the grinder, and had a quick hour in the garage this afternoon, MOAR STEEL REQUIRED PLEASE!!
Rear wing off.. Doesn't look too bad..
Ah wait, the end of that sill looks a bit ropey...
One swift whack of my hammer later..
Whack number 2...
That'll need some welding then!
Todays sweepings! They include a load from the inner rear arch.
And my wire cup brush, goodbye surface rust!
Overall, this side is a fair bit worse than the other side, however, I've bought some sill repair panels from Rhod Grubb, so they should take out most of the grot, and I can fab up some other repair panels for the inner arch. It's going to need the battery tray on the floorpan replacing too, hopefully T3D's small panels will be better than their floorpan halfs.
I shall give all the inner wings a good wire brushing over the next week, and then i'll look into chopping out the grot and making up some repair sections.
