Great location for a car show, loads of space within the circuit, good viewing of the circuit action

Yep, think I've got the parade lap sorted, who fancies tasking their type 3/4 around the circuit?937carrera wrote:Great location for a car show, loads of space within the circuit, good viewing of the circuit action

Isn't that paddy Hopkirk Mike? In the works mini?
Who was driving the Notch?
I'm strongly considering a slow drive up north

Tis my wife's birthday that weekend. This is great. Two birds one stone
Re: Dubworth, Oulton Park 6-8th May 2016
Let me know guys, we're going to be arranging club camping if anyone fancies a beer around the bbq
Re: Dubworth, Oulton Park 6-8th May 2016
Also Mike, Kate (my other half who works at oulton park), was blown away by that pic

That's Bengt Jansson just about hanging on to the Notch - Oulton Park (Lodge) 1963 RAC Rally.
I think my favorite Type 3 picture ever!
Would be up for the camping.

It's a very cool pic
I suspect I'll be running around in high-vis most of the day so I imagine a beer and food will be most needed after that!

I've taken my 412 round Croft , only at parade lap speeds though.Chino wrote:Yep, think I've got the parade lap sorted, who fancies tasking their type 3/4 around the circuit?
Have you seen the varied and positive camber on that notch , not one of the wheels in pointing where you would want it to be
I'd love to be there, but don't know my plans for 2016 yet. If I do get to go I know a couple of guys from the FunCup so it would be catch up with them as well.
Very nice having an other half that works at Oulton

Yes I think we'll be restricted to parade speeds, but i imagine that's the best way! That photo in particular of lodge corner at oulton with the notch is great, I'll pass it onto oulton as they're big geeks about historic racing.
Hoping to have the website live and tickets on sale early January for this. At this point I imagine I'll be working my rear off on it

Tickets are now available at: http://dubworth.co.uk and we're taking bookings for clubstands, let me know if you would like to be there
We're also taking applications for trade stalls if anyone is interested.
If you'd like to autojumble, you just need a ticket for entry and it's free to have a stall, just email info@dubworth.co.uk

Is Camping available on the Friday night Will? - all the logo's said 6th-8th May, but the Website Now says 7th-8th with No mention of gates opening on Friday
Re: Dubworth, Oulton Park 6-8th May 2016
Yes Peter, I need to get MSV to alter it on their site, but weekend ticket holders have access to camp Friday afternoon/evening.purplepeter wrote:Is Camping available on the Friday night Will? - all the logo's said 6th-8th May, but the Website Now says 7th-8th with No mention of gates opening on Friday

Looks like 4 visits to Oulton Park this year for me, I really do need to get the 412LS tickover problem fixed or maybe even the T25 (proper air cooled one with type 4 engine) restored so we can camp.

No need to worry about camping space or facilities at Dubworth!
There will be entertainment for all the family, including Oulton Parks on-site fair.

The show and shine categories are finalised and as follows:
-Best in show Aircooled
-Best in show Watercooled
-Best 50's vehicle
-Best 60's vehicle
-Best 70's vehicle
-Best 80's vehicle
-Best 90's vehicle
-Best Bug
-Best Bus
-Best Ghia/Type 3/Type 4/Other VW (or coachbuild)
-Best Buggy/Baja/Kit Car
-Best Rat
-Best Mk1 Watercooled (of any classic VAG group vehicle, Golf, Passat, Polo, Audi 80 etc.)

-Best Mk3 Watercooled (of any classic VAG group vehicle Golf, Passat, Polo, Audi 80 etc.))

Well the applicants are coming in for the show and shine, but I've not had any Type 3's or 4's yet...obviously I can't enter mine! Come on guys, no one fancy show and shine and a parade lap?

Well the 412LS is fixed so there's a good chance I'll be turning up.
It'll be nice to add an Oulton parade lap to the one she's already done at Croft
