68 RHD Squareback
68 RHD Squareback
Hi,
I'm new to the forum and type 3 ownership so wanted to share my new ride.
A 68 RHD square recently imported from SA, needs MOT and DVLA registration so currently sat in the workshop waiting for some attention on floorpan. A good stock interior with almost all electrics in working order, never had a VW with an original working clock!
Cheers, Jon

Good looking Type 3. You may be surprised how much you like driving it once you get it road legal. The early clocks are less problematic, but time-keeping is a bit erratic. If they aren't running, it's usually the fusible solder link that's failed. The later transistorised clocks keep better time, but are trickier to mend if they fail.

Nice number plate!
Re: 68 RHD Squareback
How did you know PRH are my brother's initial, Peter?
I'm in the process of selling my Fastback RDH 96K, which I bought in Summer 1990, largely as it has my middle son's initials! Downsizing my fleet! I've just been looking through lots of photos of restoration, etc.... very nostalgic.
