Hi... "grannies" because, I guess there is no older Type 4 on the streets any more.
Both are made in September 1968. One month after the assembley lines started with the VW 411 and 2 weeks before the official introduction was.

I’m very envious. I have been searching for a British RHD Cyclops 411 for years!
I know of only one UK car that’s firmly not for sale . Its is in bad condition but is safe in a VW enthusiasts ownership. There was another around a few years back as per link (me searching for that car) but it’s not been seen for years now.
