Good old clean up of the front boot area, and first coat of primer. I,m
suprised that things aint looking too bad at all considering the state it
was in .
So all in all I,m happy enough with how its coming along.

As the shell is currently suspended from the roof of the garage, ropes and web belts may
be a bit confusing. But hopefully it wont be up there long.

Spent 4 hours taking out the rear window to prep the ope for the new paint and seals.
Interesting 4 hours, thanks to some muppet using Tek seal to try and seal a leaking rubber seal
instead of buying a new seal. Ended up having to completely cut out the old rubber seal, to make sure the
glass stayed in one piece, and not thousands.
But mission successful.

Some more updates on how the spraying on the shell is progressing.
Rear drivers side louvre corner.
Roof section viewed from passenger door towards the rear.
Front clip.

Rear roof corner again showing a good finish ready for final polishing.
Near completed shell hovering over its long lost chassis.

Front clip after more wet,n,dry finishing.
Roof section corner progressing nicely. If I can finish this well all over,
I will be well pleased.

Here is what I used to seperate the seals around the front and back screen.
Its a shortened carving knife that I made when I used to make shoes, for cutting leather.
Slips in under the seal from outside, and then push in firmly to get it just under
the inner glass, not the seal. Then it slices the seal nicely, as its the thinnest part of the seal
thickness here.
Drastic but necessary to free my tek sealed windows.

Smooth idea, I just wrestled with a Stanley blade which got risky at times

I,ve done that too on occasions.
The carving knife cut down to a short stubby blade is a great job.
Its slim enough to slide into place with no damage, and its tough enough not to bend
at all under any pressure. And its broad enough to ad leverage if needed.

Playtime over, have to crack on.
But I couldn't resist the last polish with 3000 grit wet,n,dry.

I think I have now got a finish thats good enough for my needs.
After 5 coats of celly and wet,n,dry finishing using 1000, 1500,
2000,2500, and 3000,
And a quick coat of fine polish, I,ve got this.
And i'm gonna give it the thumbs up

Back to business after me short rest.
Not much to report. Back seat area has been sealed over the welds.
As you can see, ready now for some stone chip paint.
Rear wing metal repair is cleaned up, and a light skim of filler to level out the repair
metal that was substantial. Not the filler, the metal.
The front end of the wing low down was well rotted.
At least now I have a useable wing. Now to the other wing which was in a similar condition.
Not much to report. Back seat area has been sealed over the welds.

Back on the clock now after getting sidetracked for a lot of house repair work.
New fencing perimeters, pvc soffet, facia, roofing work, ect,ect,ect
Have to keep the cook happy

Just remade the two long sections of the front bumper mounts. Both were serverely rusted
beyond use. So angle grinder to cut off the useless metal and refabbed new metal..
Then prime both back wings, and maybe a couple of coats of celly if I can get an
approprite heat source in my garage, sfaer than the solid fuel stove.
Dont want to blow me fasty up.
Any suggestions on the appropriate heat source that works for you guys out there???

Infra red panel heater! Theyre £10-20 on amazon/ebay or try poundstretcher if you have that over there?
