Welcome
I presume that's you sat on the bonnet
Was the car a saloon or a variant ? That looks like a 4 door saloon from the photo, but it is dark.

Re: 411 LE, parts to be saved, act quickly
I managed to create some space by getting one of the cars sold so the remains of this are still available.
I am wanting to recover the space for another car so it's likely this will be going for recycling imminently...... speak now if there's anything you have forgotten

Welcome !
Looks a tidy car, I'm not sure you are going to need those spares yet.
On the photos, you can upload them direct to the site now, so no need to have them disappear or have the watermark across them

Re: Early Squareback
Nobody around here is going to be in the slightest bit jealous :) On the phone, if your contract does not include international calls (making international is different to roaming calls home) then is there a way you can get a three or giffgaff Uk PAYG sim card and use roaming to make the calls. With...

Did you remove the bar and inspect it ?
Generally speaking torsion bars are well protected from corrosion, but if they do get rust in they can get weak,

Re: Shocks
When you lowered the ride height you changed the camber......... so it needs to be adjusted again. Rear toe in will also have changed. It will have increased -ve camber so the wheels either lean more if you had -ve camber, or as this is a type 3 and may have +ve camber, you will have lost some of th...

Sikafkex ........ it's a polyurethane adhesive, strong stuff and has been used to strengthen engine mounts
There's all types of Sikaflex, a bit like loctite, but the PU adhesive is probably the best known

It was a pleasure Rich, glad you got home safely and everything unloaded. If this really does make all the difference to getting your project on the track to completion I'll be really delighted. There is quite a bit more metal and strength in a type 4 than I perhaps thought.

Re: 411 LE, parts to be saved, act quickly
Richt has snaffled the carpets and I believe the door cards / handles are different between 411 and 412 so they won't fit, which is a bit of a shame as that could have meant the whole interior being reused.
