Kent VW Festival 2015

Post by Ralfi » 7th January 2015 - 2:51pm

Hello,

I hope some recognize me after a long time again. ;)

We plan this year to spend our holidays in GB and also participate at the Kent VW Festival. We (it's me and my 13 years old son, even a friend) will be on the road and there with our folding caravan and the Type3. How's it going with the tickets and campground at the festival? Which one of you is possibly there? Any other activities
or suggestions where we can go in the period from 19.07. to 3.8.?

Thank you for information.
Greetings from Ralfi (aka Typ3Typ)

Hallo Ralf,

I hope you are better now. We missed not seeing you in Zeeland last year.

A shame you can't visit us the week before, as hopefully there will be many Type 3's here:

A few for you to consider here: http://www.vwshows.com/shows.php?countr ... 20kingdom&
Bug Jam is an experiance if you have not been before - maybe your son would enjoy that one more!
Anyway, I hope we can see you while you are here.

Regards,

Mike (starter motor man)

Hi Ralfi, I should be at the Kent VW Festival as it's not far from me, as for tickets I know the organiser, will see if I can get the tickets a bit cheaper for you if I tell him you're coming all the way from Germany :)

Hello Mike,
hello Danny,

thank you for the fast answers. I hope to see my "starter motor man" this year! Yes Danny, this sounds good, very good! ;) I hope to convince my friend Tobi (the guy with "Agent Orange"-Type3) to get with us.

We are currently still at the stage of planning the holiday. Since we only have a folding caravan, only fixed campsites and day trips from there are possible.

The rough planning looks at the moment like this:
19./20.7. Arrival in the region around Kent (fixed campsite 4 to 5 nights)
24. to 26.07. VW Festival Kent (camping festival grounds 2 nights)
26. to 31.07. Getting to Cornwall and fixed campsite

It'll be nice to see You again Ralfi! I'll probably come down to the Kent vw Festival, unless You announce other stopping points en route!
Perhaps We should all make an effort to put a club display on for Kent?

Sorry Guys.
Unfortunately I have to cancel the planned vacation. There are no campsites available according to our desires and my son prefers the Mediterranean Sea.
