'L' reg, so you might want to check if its chassis number is less than about 3132058500, as it could be possible to show it's tax exempt.

sorry to hijack the thread (nice car / good price!) but i've just bought my 1st fastback (only type 1 & 2 before). Notice the chassis number you referenced, mine is 313200xxxx. i was thinking of looking into it, from your comments do you think i'll have any luck?

Looks tax exempt then. Anything up to about 60,000 as the last 5 digits is built in '72.
