Aye, that fasty belonged (and still belongs) to Dan Allum.

Here's his web page - perhaps youcan contact him through that? He's a decent chap, I'm sure he'll be happy to talk you through the wheel arch mods!

A guy was telling me at Stanford Hall that certain Rolls-Royce wheel arches have just the right profile for flared wheel-arches - you use left for right and vice versa.

I'm not sure which model RR it was, but he's a sheet-metal worker so he may have an advantage on the rest of us!

they are too long so as i was wheeling them up and jennying the edge over i faded it out to suit but the main objective was to not lose any of the shapes or lines and not be too over the top so it looked like a factory mod. i jus bought my fasty n saw a white or cream notch in a mag n (i kinda wanna b a designer) i liked it cus of the norrowed beam at the time it supposidly the only t3 with 1. i got images n started drawing on the thing n that gave me the idea. i didnt wanna put a t1 beam on cus its nowhere near as nice a ride, i didnt have the money to buy 1, didnt want problems modding everything if i did list goes on as u no! (hassle!) i was only 18 goin on 19 so i was still an apprentice so i wanted to also impress my boss n get him to giv me some lee-way get more challenging job to further myself but anyways i had a word wid my boss gev him £12.50 for the sheet of steel n i used all the jigs (cus they made classic car panels) made them and stitch welded them on with a proper stitch welder(kinda like a spot welder but it kinda planishes the weld into the panel at the same time) i impressed him n he told me so but u get used as an apprentice so all the crap came to me still! lol. it still aint finished

Evening, Kyle, Danny, Gary and Dave! :)

Kyle, let me know if you need specifics. Here's the rundown on them... they're fiberglass repro Ford arches that have been cut'n'shut and reprofiled. They're bonded and pop rivetted to steel wings on the rear and 'glass Day Mouldings wings on the front.

The rears are actually MK1 RS2000 fronts.

The fronts are from the front of a non-bubble RS1600 or Mexico.

Hey guys, we don't want to be taken over by Fords!

No problem cutting out Ford wheel arches though, if there are any around that haven't rusted out.

Looks like the green one that was on here has already been nicked!

I wouldn't support cutting anything off a tidy classsic anyway, even a Ford.

Hey Kyle, yep that's the one. Just to clarify, they were repro arches like these:

No bubble equipped Fords were harmed. :D

Sorry Dave, I was just trying to illustrate to Kyle what the arches were originally for. I'll keep it 'Ford free' from now on. :D
