9.42 was the best e.t. But, for a sweep the floor engine on 87 octane and 1850lbs, I'm ok with it. Stock T3 gearing too...

As tpo shifting... several issues. That cable shifter is too vague. It is pretty much a non issue when out cruising. But it DOES NOT LIKE speed shifts @ 6000 rpm

Seat/base position is set. So, after the body goes on, the seat will be mounted and then on to wiring... woot!

Impressive progress. Looks like you still have the good weather! The car sits very nicely in that photo.

It just started raining here. We will see it until May. So, work will be in my small garage space now.

Hoping to start wiring the car this weekend. With my love of wiring (insert sarcasm here), this could take months.

Rolling the car in and out of the garage has been an adventure as the steering box and the shaft were not connected.
Now I can steer the car! The t1 box and the t3 shaft align perfectly! Woot!!! Small victories.

Things have slowed as we have added house remodeling to the mix. But, for today, some progress.

My heads finally arrived from the head porter with a loud bang on my front porch. I was out behind the house when I heard it. By the time I got to the box, the driver was gone and the damage was done 🤒 So, I contacted the head porter with pucs of the damged chambers on one of the heads and he told me I could work them back.
Now, I have opened up manifolds to match intake ports, but to touch the chambers, on something as expensive as these were, well...
I was able, with nervous trepidation, to clean up the combustion chambers on the new to me heads.
I also installed valves in one chamber to see what the volume was. 52cc. Going to an .060 deck will put me right at 10.3 CR...Perfect! That was where I was hoping to get to. Whew!

Added are the IRS pivots to convert to IRS. I am not going to run torsion bars, so this is a sub that will use 550lbs spring coilover shocks to hold the weight.
