Thanks. Im not into the age snobbery thing ;)

Just been stripping the inner rear arches back to metal ... only a few small holes to sort, and new rear belt mounts.

It was an early nineties cal-looker, smoothed with 'splat' stickers. Needless to say the style will be changed a tad.

Its had a new front and rear valences, due to previous accident damage, but otherwise just small patch repairs.

Flat out on it at the moment ... :?

1600TL resto

You don't know how lucky you are having a late Fastback without the air vents by the rear window. I'm tempted to blend in mine in the '72.

type3 - I work on an RAF establishment, and we have access to old hangers that are fitted out for car restos ......... dead handy. :) and cheap, too. ;)

Ed - vents seem to be a pain in general. :( Ive had issues with the under windcreen ones, as usual ...... however, the pop-out rear windows are great, and the flexi-glass is always a talking point!

Old Hangars

Not near Bristol by any chance, Clem? I'd love to find one of those places. There's an area reserved for Airbus in the aero museum I help with, but I can't persuade them that dry storage of old VWs would be beneficial to Airbus!

I was at Coventry airfield today - there's a light-plane there G-CLEM. Just the job!
Dave.
