Type 34 restoration

Post by Kettle13 » 22nd February 2011 - 10:03pm

Hi everyone, I'm new to this site, I'm currently restoring a 68 razor edge and am looking for various parts such as headlights, window rubbers, trims etc. Any help would be great, many thanks.

Welcome. Glad you're on OK. There are a few on here undertaking Type 34 restorations at the moment, so you'll be able to share advice.

Cool another Razor project
These seem to be getting quite popular now
Simon Kelly or the KGOC(GB) can supply most of the rubber pieces
Got any pics of the car?

Hi, I've been photographing every step of the way, I've nearly completed the Center section on the drivers side, took an bit longer than expected because of having to fabricate my own inner and outer wheel arches as well as repairing heater tubes and inner sills. Good job I used to be a panel beater!!!!
I'll start putting some photos on soon, thanks for your replies and help.

Panel beater eh? That's certainly handy for restoring Type 3s, 4s and 34s, since repair panels for the rusty bits are hard to find.

Sure is handy Dave, the outer rocker panels and lower quarters were supplied by the type 3 detectives along with a few floor sections but the rest I'm having to make from scratch with no patterns, not the easiest job I must say but very rewarding. I'm going to struggle on the front headlamp sections though, the bowls and surrounds are very bad, it will be easier if I can get some new bowls and lamps, the rest will be easy to fabricate, I'll try to get some photos on by the weekend.

They look protected - couldn't even get the URL off them when they were listed originally. There may be an option to share to web or something, but I don't know.
